I built this bench as my final project for the furniture design class I took last semester. The seat is made out of left over beams of Parallam, which is essentially wood chips all compressed and glued together. The legs are half-inch steel tubing which I cut, bent and welded together. It is intended to be an entrance bench, for someone to sit on while they tie their shoes. The name “strand” came from my friend, D. Brad Mullen. The bench is 45 inches wide, 11 inches deep and 17 inches tall.
